Motherhood is an amazing time full of excitement and anticipation! From the moment we find out that there is a tiny life growing inside of us all we think about is them....Will it be a boy or a girl? What will they be like? Will they look like me? What will I name him/her? Eventually we start to think about our baby's birth...Do I want a hospital birth? A home birth? Will I be able to manage without the drugs? Can I really push something the size of a watermelon out of something the size of a…well, you know where I am going with this.
Something that I think so many women tend to neglect in all of this excitement is the person doing all of the work: themselves. Growing a baby is no easy task in itself so when it comes to birthing one....well let's just say thank God we have some sort of memory lapse that lets us even consider doing it again! But then, when you see those big brand new eyes for the first time, all the fears you may have had seem to melt away in an instant. It seems as though nothing could ever go wrong in your perfect little love bubble...flash forward to 7 days later when you are suddenly in tears because you have misplaced the baby sock, insecure because you swear your husband just glared at you from across the room, and your body feels like you just got off the defensive line in the NFL playoffs.
Would you dare to believe that birth really is still an amazing thing? With just a little help you can relax, take in that new baby smell, and rub those little toes between your fingers. As a mother of 4, I know how it feels when we try to do it all. The truth is that there is one thing a new mom needs more than anything: SUPPORT!
I started Mommy's Miracle for the love of the new mother.I am offering what I consider to be one of mother nature's most amazing gifts: Placenta encapsulation. You will be amazed at the benefits that are possible with something your own body created for you!
I bring with me 14 years of experience as a mother to four children (7 of which were spent breastfeeding) and 8 years in dialysis nursing. I will come to your home and help with everything from finding the best position to nurse your baby to giving you some resources (ones that perhaps the old lady in the bathroom who was rubbing your belly last week failed to mention). So many new parents get home to suddenly find that they feel so alone, even though there may be plenty of visitors! I can be that little bit of experienced reassurance to show you that yes, you will be okay, and yes, you are doing a great job. I offer you time...YOUR TIME...that you need to bond with your new baby and enjoy your family.
So please, sit back, check out my website, and learn something new. When you're done please call me with any questions or to set up an appointment. After all, life is about learning...just think of all the things our children will teach us! Remember, parenting without a sense of humor is like being an accountant who sucks at math. And those tiny little foot prints that are already on your heart will soon being leaving mud tracks on your carpet!
